Is Microneedling safe?
Yes. Microneedling works with your skin’s natural reactions to a small cut or incision. That’s the best part—your body’s natural collagen and elastin-releasing processes do the work to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, stretch marks, and scars.
What equipment do you use?
We use Collagen P.I.N Micro-Needling devices, which gives you a more comprehensive experience than derma-rollers. The Collagen P.I.N. uses technology that targets varying depths of your skin. Unlike derma-rollers that use the same length of the needle all over, the Collagen P.I.N can be customized for different parts of your skin.
How does Microneedling work?
After fully assessing the treatment area to determine the needle length and treatment duration, we will apply a topical serum to your skin to ensure a pain-free, relaxing session. Next, we’ll use the microneedling device to gently scrub the skin, producing thousands of tiny punctures per second and stimulating your skin’s natural process to heal itself. Your skin will naturally produce collagen and elastin to fill out wrinkles and resurface scars. We normally recommend 3-6 treatments one month apart for best results.
Does it hurt?
After applying a topical anesthetic, you shouldn’t feel anything during the microneedling process. You may feel a slight stinging sensation similar to a mild sunburn after the anesthetic wears off, lasting from a few hours to a few days.
Who is an ideal candidate for Microneedling?
Anyone wanting to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks and sun damage. Microneedling is unique in that it works with all skin colors and types whereas traditional methods like lasers and chemicals work best for lighter skin types.
What is the downtime after each Microneedling treatment?
Unlike laser or chemical treatments, you will experience a minimal downtime after your Microneedling treatments. Typically you will experience about 24 hours of redness and swelling after each treatment. After the initial 24 hours of downtime, you will be able to wear mineral makeup as long as you follow the directions from your post-treatment kit.
